Tasting Notes
Veritas 2003 - Bronze
Bright ruby red in colour, this Merlot has ripe red berry fruit aromas. The palate is tasty, slightly spicy, with wome deliciously sweet oak vanillins coming through. A medium-bodied wine, though its fairly high alcohol and firm, dry tannins will stand up to strongly flavoured dishes and probably do well with anything, even chilli.
In The Vineyard
All the grapes were harvested from bush vines planted on Hoopenburg seven years ago. The consistently moderate climate and low yields create ideal conditions for producing high quality red wines.
About The Harvest
The grapes were harvested at full ripeness with a sugar level of 25 °Balling.
